The visit of district governor will be December 12 at Timothy Eaton Gardens. The Moose Jaw Lioness Lions Club and Club are invited to attend.
Grace and Elvin Wayne Sorensen and McGregor reported on the recent conference in Regina. With the new districts taking instead, there will be many issues to resolve and regulations to determine. The current two districts combine to form one district to be known 5SKS, effective July 1, 2010. The fall conference first as a new district will be held at Cypress Hills in November 2010 and Moose Jaw will host in 2011.
Gord Jago explore the possibility of obtaining a matching grant from LCIF for Habitat for Humanity.
Zaiser has accepted an invitation to represent the Early Bird Club at White Cane Club dinner held Tuesday.
At the conference in Regina, Wayne McGregor has received a certificate Appreciation international president for his work on behalf of the Lions-Quest. This is a program sponsored by the Lions to help children to resist peer pressure to do drugs. The program has been used in schools for many years and has had many reactions positive.
Grace Sorensen said that 156 pairs of glasses metal used href = "http://www.firmoo.com/memory-metal-glasses.html"> memory have been collected since April. There are collection boxes in public places in throughout the city. Anyone who has eye wear are no longer used is encouraged to donate. Used in plastic reading glasses are needed.
