Arturo Toscanini

Who was the trumpet "first" and the Violin "first" in the conductor Arturo Toscanini's?
Pemit me correct you: there was no such band by that name. The organization you refer had two identities during his lifetime: first, the "NBC Symphony Orchestra" (could be just the, NBC Orchestra), and "Symphony of the Air". You need this research: it was formed by NBC only to incite Toscanini to sign on the dotted line to become its permanent conductor. At the time – 1940-50's – the three major radio / TV networks (and there were only three: NBC, CBS and ABC) FIREC were competing with each others. And Toscanini to sign an exclusive contract, has been a huge hit for NBC. Toscanini But after retirement, NBC DIS-band orchestra, but they, the members have refused to, and formed a corporation which they dubbed the "Symphony of the Air". And though they tried for few years to keep the orchestra as a financially viable – and playing with no drivers – it ultimately proved a failure. This orchestra while the head of NBC, David Sarnoff, I think it was called, was able to create is a unique institution: its members were among the best musicians in the world, and Toscanini "refined" to perfection. It's a shame he was unable to develop and support to the maestro's retirement. Alberich PS-sorry for spelling errors (auditor does not work), and poor quality of the prose: no completely awake. —————————– ——————— ——— EDIT: "suhwahka-" Thank You for the link – very interesting.
